Jami-Lyn reached out to me because she had a vision for an engagement session that echoed with moodiness, and she believed my photography style was the perfect match for bringing her dream of farm engagement photos to life! The anticipation grew as she prepared for the session, purchasing vibrant smoke bombs to add an extra layer of emotion. Adding to the enchantment, she brought along her tarot cards, and given that it was fall, having pumpkins was a non-negotiable!
The Beginning of Forever for Jami-Lyn and Josh
Jami-Lyn and Josh found each other in the midst of chaos. Their connection began on Tinder, and despite the world shutting down in the wake of St. Patrick’s Day 2020, their plans to meet persisted. Amidst a closed New York, Jami-Lyn and Josh chose a park for a first date. Circumstances may have limited their surroundings, but as they strolled through that small park, little did they know that they were laying the foundation for something extraordinary.
Magic on Mainstreet: A Mystical Journey Exploring Bainbridge, NY
On the day of the shoot, her enthusiasm was infectious. Bringing along her tarot cards, she infused the session with a mystical aura that captivated me. We kicked off our adventure on the charming Main Street in Bainbridge, a town I had never explored before. The streets became a canvas for us to paint with emotions, capturing the essence of their love against the backdrop of this quaint, undiscovered gem.
Farm Engagement Photos and Pumpkinheads
As we wandered through the town, the magic unfolded, leading us to a friend’s farm nearby. The farm was a haven of enchantment, boasting the company of goats, chickens, and ducks. Amidst this rustic beauty, a vast pumpkin patch awaited us, setting the stage for some of the most unforgettable moments of our session.
Interestingly, the universe had its own plans. A previously scheduled pumpkinhead session had faced a setback due to unforeseen weather challenges. Undeterred, I had already carved the pumpkins, and serendipity smiled upon us. Those whimsical pumpkins found their purpose as they adorned the heads of this adventurous couple, creating some of the most cherished and spontaneous shots in the entire gallery. The laughter, the love, and the unexpected twists of the day made it a magical experience that will forever hold a special place in my heart.
