Nicole & Tyler’s Romantic Sagamore Resort Wedding in Lake George

Courtney Stannard Photography Portfolio

On May 10, 2025, Nicole and Tyler celebrated their wedding day at The Sagamore Resort, surrounded by the sweeping views of Lake George, their families and friends, and a carefully planned day that balanced romance, elegance, and nonstop joy.

From emotional getting ready moments to a peaceful outdoor ceremony, golden hour portraits along the water, and a surprise fireworks display, their Sagamore Resort wedding felt intentional, elevated, and deeply personal from beginning to end.

Getting Ready at The Sagamore Resort

Nicole and Tyler both got ready on-site at The Sagamore, allowing the day to unfold without rushing or unnecessary travel. Tyler began his afternoon in the Lodge Rooms, while Nicole prepared in a Main Hotel Suite overlooking the property.

The getting ready portion of the day was calm and meaningful. Parents and siblings were present, helping with final touches and sharing quiet moments before the ceremony. A champagne toast marked the transition into the day—one of those small pauses that makes a wedding morning feel real and grounded.

Detail photos included Nicole’s wedding dress, Tyler’s suit, shoes, rings, and invitations, all thoughtfully prepared ahead of time. These moments set the tone for the rest of the day: polished, intentional, and centered around family.

A Peaceful Outdoor Ceremony on the Veranda Terrace

Nicole and Tyler exchanged vows during an outdoor ceremony on the Veranda Terrace at The Sagamore Resort, with Lake George stretching out behind them. The ceremony began at 4:30pm and unfolded exactly as they had hoped—peaceful, romantic, and present.

One of the moments they were most excited about was seeing each other for the first time during the ceremony, and that reaction did not disappoint. The way Tyler looked at Nicole as she walked down the aisle was quiet, emotional, and full of meaning.

Their ceremony included two readings, each shared by an aunt, adding another layer of personal connection to the moment. With a guest count of around 150, the space felt full without feeling overwhelming—intimate in all the right ways.

Family Photos & Wedding Party Portraits

Immediately following the ceremony, we moved seamlessly into family portraits and wedding party photos. With one bridesmaid and two groomsmen, the group remained small and relaxed, allowing portraits to feel natural and unforced.

The Sagamore’s grounds provided a perfect backdrop, keeping everything close and efficient while still offering variety and elegance.

Cocktail Hour on Dollar Island Terrace

Cocktail hour began at 5:00pm on Dollar Island Terrace. Nicole and Tyler were fully prepared to miss most—if not all—of cocktail hour in favor of portraits, and it was absolutely worth it.

We explored several of their requested locations, including the balcony of the main hotel, the pier, and areas along the water. These portraits felt timeless and unhurried, capturing the calm after the ceremony and the excitement before the reception.

A Romantic, High-Energy Reception at Shelving Rock Terrace

The reception began at 6:00pm on Shelving Rock Terrace, where the evening quickly shifted into celebration mode. Dinner was served at 7:00pm, followed by parent dances, heartfelt toasts, and a packed dance floor.

Nicole and Tyler’s first dance to “Latch (Acoustic)” by Sam Smith was emotional and understated—one of those moments that quiets a room before the energy builds again.

The vibe of the reception was exactly as they described: romantic and high energy, with nonstop dancing and genuine joy filling the space.

Golden Hour Portraits & a Surprise Fireworks Show

As the sun dipped lower over Lake George, Nicole and Tyler stepped away briefly for golden hour portraits—soft light, water reflections, and a few quiet minutes together in the middle of the celebration.

Then, at 9:00pm, the night took a turn no one saw coming.

A surprise fireworks display lit up the sky over Lake George, stunning guests and creating one of the most memorable moments of the entire day. It was bold, joyful, and perfectly timed—a true celebration.

Ending the Night (and Keeping the Party Going)

The reception wrapped up at 10:00pm, with an after party waiting just down the hall. It felt like a natural extension of the night—easy, fun, and filled with laughter.

Nicole and Tyler’s wedding day was everything they hoped it would be: perfectly planned, romantic, elegant, and full of life. Most importantly, it centered on what mattered most to them—time together, surrounded by the people they love.
