They dreamed of a romantic setting that would truly highlight the natural beauty of the Adirondacks, and they got exactly that in their summer Adirondack elopement! 

Jacki and Brendan’s Fateful Encounter: How Bumble Brought Them Together and Inspired Their Love Story

In September 2020, destiny played its hand when Jacki and Brendan swiped right on each other through Bumble. Their serendipitous match paved the way for their first date at Yards Brewery in October, where an instant connection blossomed between them. After receiving the approval of their furry friends, it became clear that it was a perfect match all around, and they made their relationship official. Reflecting on how their paths might never have crossed without Bumble, Jacki and Brendan decided to celebrate this unique beginning by getting matching bumble bee tattoos, just one week before Brendan’s heartfelt proposal. 

Finding Serenity and Seclusion in an Adirondack Elopement Getaway

Jacki and Brendan chose to rent a splendid mountain retreat through VRBO in the scenic Lake Placid, New York. Their shared love for the great outdoors guided their decision to host an intimate wedding amidst the tranquility of the woods in the Adirondack mountains! The allure of this particular house captivated them, making it the perfect setting for their special day. Moreover, the prospect of having most of their guests stay together added an extra layer of charm to their Adirondack elopement plans. 

Capturing Nature’s Majesty by Exploring the Adirondacks and Ebs View Lodge

The day started with a breathtaking drive through the Adirondack Mountains. For that reason, I seized the chance to scout the nearby Heaven Hill Trail for the best photo spots in the area. Afterward, I headed to the tranquil Ebs View Lodge, tucked away along a winding dirt road. This delightful cabin boasted a picturesque deck that offered panoramic views of the majestic trees and mountains.

Jacki and Brendan’s First Look Amidst the Adirondack Forest 

We embarked on a journey to Heaven Hill Trails for Jacki and Brendan’s first look! In our quest to capture the tranquil essence of the Adirondack mountains, we carefully selected a serene location deep within the woods along the trail. Undeniably, first look unfolded as a breathtakingly beautiful and intimate moment for them!

A Scenic Adirondack Mountain Ceremony

Continuing up the trail, we arrived at a picturesque clearing that offered a sweeping panoramic view of the Adirondack mountains! For that reason, Jacki and Brendan shared their heartfelt ceremony here, surrounded by a select group of their nearest and dearest friends and family. After the ceremony, for the same reason, we seized the opportunity to capture cherished moments with their loved ones and to create romantic portraits of Jacki and Brendan in the expansive open field, with the majestic Adirondack Mountains as a stunning backdrop.

An Evening of Celebration at the Ebs View Lodge

Finally, we made our way back to Ebs View Lodge, where a gorgeous dinner was waiting for them, arranged elegantly on a long table on the back deck. Above all, it was the ideal conclusion to their intimate ceremony, a moment to celebrate the enduring love that Jacki and Brendan have for each other.
